BYTET began as a recording project in 1989 by RG Geiger. Inspired by his brother, RG set several of Timothy’s poems to music. The “dark” nature of the prose is reflected in the music through a “Gothic” style. In the spring of 1992 BYTET began public performances as a one-man “Gothic/Techno” band, playing alternative bars, coffee houses and underage warehouses in Anchorage, Alaska. In the years to follow RG would record and perform with the Alaskan bands Bingo Swingers, Parallax1 and Cliff and Ivy. Recently, Bytet has begun recording fresh new material.
